Guitarists gather to try for Guinness World Record

Earlier tonight, Vegas Rocks! magazine celebrated its 5th anniversary by trying to break a Guinness Book of World Record for most guitar players playing a song. Dozens of locals and tourists alike brought their guitars to the Welcome to Las Vegas sign to play “Viva Las Vegas” amidst Elvis impersonators and even Mayor Oscar Goodman (the real one). Alas, the formidable record of 1,802 guitarists in a jam session (from Germany in 2007) was not toppled.
